What do you do when you have spent close to 30 years of your life devoting all your time to raising your kids and you suddenly find yourself feeling lost, alone and without a purpose? Well for me, I've decided to start a blog. My hopes for this blog is that it will help me find a purpose for each day. I'm not looking for miracles or grandiose plans. Just a place where I can set goals and share ideas with others.
For years friends have called me "Suzie Homemaker" because I like to do a little of everything from cooking to sewing and knitting or crocheting so you never know what each day will bring. At this point in my life, I m trying to focus on expanding and improving my skills by doing the things that I couldn't find time for while I was busy raising my family. I hope that some of you will join me in my journey as I explore my life as an empty-nest homemaker.
